Positive Choices is an abstinence-until-marriage, teen pregnancy prevention and education program located in Northwestern Ohio. We work with pre-teens and teens between the ages of 12 and 18-years-old and conduct seminars, classes and classroom presentations throughout the area.

Our goals are to reduce sexual activity, sexually transmitted diseases, and pregnancy in teens through education. At Positive Choices, our team of abstinence educators and teen mentors are dedicated to introducing young people to a new way of approaching the challenges and choices that they face as sexually aware young people.

At Positive Choices we understand the complexity of adolescents and their motivations for risk taking behavior, but we also understand the importance of educating teens about the full consequences of the decisions they make. We aim to help the youth in the Northwest Ohio area make good choices and healthy lifestyle decisions while helping them build strong character and make choices based on issues of respect and responsibility for themselves and others.

• Students in grades 7–12 including special needs and high-risk youth
• Parents are offered special presentations, support groups, and are always encouraged to be active in their child’s life and decision making.
• Teachers, School Nurses, Counselors and other school personnel are offered in service presentations
• And information is readily available for assemblies and health fairs

Positive Choices has two 12 week programs in the fall and the spring. We also meet for six weeks during the summer and have in-school and after-school programs throughout the year.

The staff at Positive Choices is a diverse group of men and women who are certified abstinence educators. When possible, a female and a male educator co-facilitate each class to create balance and comfort for all teens. In addition to our full-time staff, select college and high school students make up our peer mentors, also referred to as "Teen Leaders". This group of students goes through an interview process and training program in preparation to assist as mentors and presenters for fellow participants.

At Positive Choices we are always excited to talk to people in the community. If you have questions or would like us to meet with your school board, administrators or parent group, we encourage you to contact us. We will be happy to schedule a meeting and explain our services, our credentials and our philosophy as well as help you choose from our diverse program topics which we tailor to fit your specific needs.
